Pakistan Rangers fired two mortar shells towards a BSF post on the international border in Jammu district, with many families in the border villages began migrating to safer places.
"Pakistan Rangers fired two mortar shells towards a Border Security Force outpost on the international border during Saturday night. Our troops did not retaliate," a senior police officer told IANS here.
Meanwhile, many families living in villages close to the international border in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts began migrating to safer places on Saturday afternoon due to frequent targeting of civilian areas by Pakistan Rangers.
During this month, nine civilians have been killed and nearly 30 injured in Pakistan shelling of civilian areas on the Line of Control and the international border in Jammu and Kashmir.
