Pakistan on Tuesday condemned the latest missile test carried out by North Korea in violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
In a statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson urged North Korea to refrain from any step that could pose threat to regional peace and stability.
The spokesman also called upon North Korea to refrain from actions which ran counter to the objective of reaching a peaceful and diplomatic solution to the issue within the framework of the six-party talks, the statement added.
China, Russian and Japan are among countries which have voiced opposition to North Korea's test of new ballistic missile.
North Korea is banned by the UN from any tests of nuclear or missile technology and has been hit by five sets of UN sanctions since its first nuclear test in 2006.
