Pakistan on Wednesday successfully conducted the test launch of a missile that can carry nuclear warheads up to 1,300 km, the military said.
The launch of the Ghauri was conducted by the army's Strategic Forces Command and was aimed at testing its operational and technical readiness, Xinhua reported citing a military statement.
"Ghauri ballistic missile can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads up to a distance of 1,300 km," it said.
The launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, as also scientists and engineers.
