A Pakistani national was apprehended by soldiers on the Indian side of the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, the army said Tuesday.
"A Pakistani national identified as Muhammad Iftikar, aged 27 years, son of late Baran Ali Khan, resident of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, was apprehended by Indian army troops in Mendhar area at 12 a.m. Monday. The individual is being interrogated," defence spokesman S.N.Acharya told IANS here.
There has been no official confirmation so far whether the arrested person was carrying any arms and ammunition.
