Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said the Pakistani terrorist caught in Jammu and Kashmir is being questioned to find out more about his plans to strike terror in the country.
"The terrorist caught in Udhampur yesterday (Wednesday) has been brought to Jammu and is being questioned," Rajnath Singh told parliament.
"Hopefully, we will get to know more about his plans to carry out terror attacks," he said.
He condemned the terror attack on a Border Security Force (BSF) convoy in Udhampur district and said the government was planning to give gallantry awards to the troopers killed in the attack.
The troopers "from the BSF, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF played a crucial role... The government will provide ex-gratia and jobs to the family members of those killed", he said.
He also appreciated the efforts by the villagers in nabbing the militant without caring for their lives.
