Paco Alcacer and Dani Parejo quite possibly saved the job of their under-fire Valencia boss Nuno Espirutu Santo with two goals each that helped the footballing side to a 5-1 win away to Celta Vigo.

Celta kicked the game off in third place in La Liga and would have gone to bed as leaders had they defeated Nuno's side which travelled to Vigo under huge pressure in the wake of a 0-1 Champions League defeat away to Gent midweek, reports Xinhua.

Alcacer opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Although Augusto Fernandez levelled soon afterwards, Parejo's goals either side of halftime gave Valencia a comfortable lead and the win was sealed by Alcacer's second goal and Mustafi, who knocked in a fifth.

Levante are still bottom of the table despite a 1-1 draw at home to Deportivo la Coruna which came thanks to Roberto Camarasa's 53rd minute goal while cancelled out Lucas Vazquez's opener for the visitors.

Sergi Enrich netted twice as Eibar's outstanding start to the campaign continued with a 3-1 win at home to Getafe which propels the Basque side, who have the smallest budget in La Liga, up to sixth in the table.

Victor Rodriguez netted for the visitors before a Saul Berjon penalty sealed the points at the Ipurua Stadium.
