Senior separatist leader Mirwaiz Umer Farooq on Monday said that though his doors are open for everyone, yet a member of the state's ruling PDP who met him earlier in the day had done so "deceitfully".
Peoples Democratic Party's Nazir Ahmad Yatoo had called on the Mirwaiz at his residence on the city outskirts and later told media that he had called on the Mirwaiz who is a leading religious leader. He also said the Mirwaiz had expressed satisfaction at the Crime Branch probe into the Kathua rape and murder case.
The Mirwaiz later said Yatoo had told him that he was working for re-opening of the mysterious murder case of two woman - Neelofar and Asiya - in the state's Shopian in 2009.
"He also told me about his brother's enforced disappearance, but did not disclose that he was a member of the ruling PDP," the Mirwaiz said.
A statement was also issued by the Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat Conference, strongly condemning the "deceitful manner in which a certain Nazir Yatoo who later turned out to be associated with PDP, came to meet Mirwaiz Umer Farooq at his residence".
