Penguin India has acquired the publishing rights for Ravi Subramanian's "The Bankster", "The Incredible Banker" and "If God was a Banker" in a multi-book deal. The first of the series will be published in September.

Incorporating the nitty-gritty of corporate world with a deadly cocktail of suspense, money and greed, the IIM-Bangalore alumnus usually pens intriguing stories with engaging characters.

The first book of this partnership is set in Mumbai, Coimbatore and Boston. It will deal with overinflated egos, bitter politics and a murder.

"His thrillers grip you and don't let go, and each book is better than the last," said Chiki Sarkar of Penguin India in a statement Saturday.
