Delhi saw pleasant weather Friday as Ed-ul-Fitr was celebrated, with rains and cool winds early in the day and maximum temperature dipping three notches below to 30.8 degree Celsius. Rain has been forecast for some areas of the city Saturday.
"The city recorded 15.7 mm of rainfall between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm. with the minimum temperature settling one notch below average at 25.8 degrees," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
"On Saturday, the sky will be cloudy and rain is expected in some areas," said the official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 30 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively Saturday.
Since the monsoon's arrival in June, Delhi has received 501.3 mm of rain, 39 percent more than the average.
