All the PMK candidates contesting the May 16 Tamil Nadu assembly poll will take an oath on Saturday to resign from the assembly if elected if their party does not fulfil the poll promises, the party said.
In a statement issued here on Friday the party said the contestants from different constituencies in Chennai would take an oath standing near the Mahatma Gandhi statue at the Marina Beach.
Meanwhile, PMK founder S. Ramadoss said the party once voted to power in the May 16 Tamil Nadu elections will have two deputy chief ministers.
The PMK is going it alone in the assembly elections and has announced former union minister Anbumani Ramadoss as its chief ministerial candidate.
The party faced a setback with its Nanguneri constituency candidate S. Thirupathi joining the ruling AIADMK on Friday.
