A delegation led by Polish Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Glinski will attend an event in Mumbai on February 13 to boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Make in India initiative.
Glinski will meet Modi during his visit and will invite to pay a state visit to Poland.
No Indian prime minister has visited Poland since Morarji Desai in 1979. Before that both Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi visited Poland.
Glinski's love for India goes back to his teaching days. He has also a passion for mountain climbing and has scaled many Himalayan hills, including the Nanda Devi.
Observing that India and Poland have a common objective of greater economic growth,it is natural that Poland should be taken seriously in the near future, said J.J. Singh, president of the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
