A few hours before polling in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections begins, the Election Commission on Sunday ordered postponement of voting in Thanjavur constituency to May 23.
The commission issued the orders after seizure of cash and complaints about distribution of money to voters, said officials.
"The poll has been postponed to May 23 by the commission. Counting of votes will be on May 25," chief electoral officer Rajesh Lakhoni told IANS.
On Saturday, the Election Commission postponed polling in Aravakurichi constituency in Karur district to May 23 on similar grounds.
