The victory Saturday took the Campinas-based outfit to the top of the Serie B standings having already secured 67 points with four matches remaining, reports Xinhua.
Ponte Preta were relegated from Brazil's top division last season for the sixth time in their 114-year-old history.
Second-placed Joinville also secured promotion after a 2-1 victory over Sampaio Correa.
In Rio de Janeiro, Vasco da Gama defeated ABC 1-0 to remain third in the Serie B standings.
