Portuguese international defender Rolando will leave Porto to join French football club Olympique Marseille after negotiating the termination of his contract for two million euros ($2.2 million).
The 30-year-old decided to leave the Dragons after he was excluded from the plan devised by Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui, who loaned Rolando out to Napoli, Inter Milan and Anderlecht over the last three seasons, Efe reported on Monday.
Rolando began his career in Portugal at Campomaiorense and then joined Belenenses, where he caught Porto's attention and made the move to the Dragons in the 2008-2009 season.
During his first four seasons with Porto, Ronaldo was a regular starter, but lost his place with the arrival of coach Vitor Pereira in the summer of 2012.
