The November 2015 had been the warmest November in Prague since the beginning of measurement at Prague Klementinum observatory in 1775, according to Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMU).

The monthly average temperature in Prague in November was 8.7 degrees Celsius, which is 4.3 degrees higher than the average for the last 241 years, Xinhua reported citing the information published on CHMU webpage.

The current warm weather and weather forecast for the coming days suggest that the December 2015 may also rewrite the historical record in Czech.

CHMU meteorologists said the first two weeks of December 2015 were warmer by about four degrees Celsius than the long-term average in the country. They estimated that December 2015 was likely to become one of the warmest Decembers in the history of the measurements.

On the national level, November 2015 was the third warmest from 1961 when the average temperatures started to be calculated for the Czech Republic. The coldest November with minus three degrees was recorded in Klementinum in 1858.
