Chennai, April 21 (IANS) Having directed five of six Tamil films produced by Prakash Raj, Tamil director Radha Mohan describes the time spent with the actor-filmmaker as a "beautiful journey".
"Prakash and I have been on a beautiful journey and we always enjoy working together. He gives me a lot of freedom as a producer. I don't think I will ever be so comfortable to work with any other producer," Radha Mohan told IANS.
However, he clarifies his camaraderie with Prakash Raj should not be misinterpreted.
"Personally, I am not against any producer. In fact, so many producers requested me to make films for them, but I never found a need to work with others. I don't want to make films just because someone is ready to fund it," he explained.
Mohan worked with producer A.M. Rathnam for Tamil drama "Ponniyin Selvan", which garnered lukewarm response.
"I didn't stop working with other producers because my film with Rathnam sir didn't do well. To work or not to work with others is a personal choice and I don't let my past influence my decision. Like I said, if there is a need, I'll definitely work with other producers," he said.
Prakash and Mohan collaborated for Tamil projects - "Azhagiya Theeye", "Mozhi", "Abhiyum Naanum", "Payanam" and "Gouravam". Prakash Raj produced all five under his banner Duet Movies.
