Nissan Motor India Friday announced the start of pre-booking from Jan 3 for its Datsun GO+ a compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
In a statement, the company said prospective customers can pre-book the new model paying a fully refundable Rs.11,000 at any Nissan dealership.
The base price has been kept under wraps and is likely to be announced when the vehicle is launched. The launch date is under wraps.
According to Nissan Motor India, the new model is India's first sub-four metre compact MPV.
"The Datsun GO+ is our second product in the market after the Datsun GO and reiterates our commitment to India," Guillaume Sicard, president-Nissan India Operations, was quoted in the statement.
Nissan Motor India closed last month with a 23.3 percent sales growth as compared to December 2013. It sold 3,158 units last month up from 2,561 units sold in December 2013.
The company has so far registered sales of 35,047 units in the 2014-15 fiscal against 24,095 units sold during the comparable period last year.
