President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday condoled the loss of lives in landslides in Arunachal Pradesh.
In his message to the northeastern border state's governor, the President said that he was "deeply saddened" that the landslides triggered by heavy rains on Friday caused loss of lives, injuries and damage to property.
According to an official statement here, Mukherjee also called upon the state government and other authorities to provide all possible aid to the bereaved families.
He also said those injured should be provided with medical assistance, it added.
