President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday greeted Mauritania on its National Day on Saturday, hoping that India's ties with that country will be further strengthened.
"It gives me great pleasure to convey to you, to the government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day," Mukherjee said in a message to his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.
"Bilateral relations between India and Mauritania are marked by warmth and goodwill," Mukherjee said.
"We look forward to working closely with your government to further strengthen our ongoing partnership in areas of capacity building, infrastructure development and skill upgradation," he added.
