PSV Eindhoven took another step towards the Dutch league title after winning 5-0 at FC Twente while rivals Ajax drew 1-1 at FC Utrecht.
Ajax looked on their way to their first victory at FC Utrecht since March 2009 with the visitors taking the lead six minutes after half-time on Sunday. A corner by Lasse Schone, who had already hit the crossbar with a free-kick, was touched by Davy Klaassen, which led to an own goal by Utrecht defender Ramon Leeuwin, reports Xinhua.
However, Utrecht substitute Gevero Markiet equalised five minutes from time. The home-team finished the match with ten men after Leeuwin received a red card for a tackle on midfielder Nicolai Boilesen.
PSV left no doubt about their title aspirations with an emphatic 5-0 win over FC Twente in Enschede.
With five rounds remaining PSV now have a ten-point lead over number two Ajax. The battle for the first place is therefore almost decided, but Feyenoord can still hope for the second place.
The Rotterdam based side beat AZ Alkmaar 4-1.
Feyenoord now trail Ajax by six points and are seven points clear from number four AZ.
