Candidates appearing for Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) in Punjab on December 13 will not be allowed to carry items like pens and watches, it was announced on Tuesday.
Nearly 1.74 lakh candidates will appear for the TET-I and TET-II at 333 centres across Punjab under elaborate security arrangements planned by the education department.
Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema said that elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure that the test is held smoothly and in a transparent and fair manner.
"Students have been prohibited to carry pen and wrist watches with them. Wall clocks would be installed in all the examination centres. Students could only carry the roll number," he said.
He said that police officials will be deputed at all test centres and the examination will be videographed.
