A 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted Nepal's capital Kathmandu and adjoining districts on Thursday, Nepal's National Seismological Centre said.
The mild tremor struck at 10 a.m. with the epicentre at Sindhupalchowk district, Xinhua news agency reported.
Sindhupalchowk is an adjoining district of Kathmandu.
Nepal was devastated by powerful earthquakes and aftershocks in April and May which claimed over 9,000 lives.
