Queretaro has defeated Dorados de Sinaloa, coached by Argentine football legend Diego Maradona, in the Copa MX round of 16.
The top flight Liga MX side were rarely troubled on Wednesday night as they handed Maradona's charges a 1-2 loss to advance to the quarterfinals of the Mexican Cup.
The home side opened the scoring in the eighth minute through Camilo Sanvezzo's spectacular long-range free-kick, reports Efe news.
The Brazilian doubled his tally eight minutes later, converting another free-kick with curling effort into the top corner.
Fernando Arce scored a consolation goal in the closing minutes, capitalizing on a poor clearance by the Queretaro defence.
Maradona denied he was under pressure, after seeing his team lose for the second time during his three games in charge.

"Pressure is having to leave for work at four in the morning and not even bringing 100 pesos ($5) home; that man is under pressure because he has to feed his children. I don't have pressure. I can put food on the table, thank God," Maradona said in a post-match conference after his team's elimination from the Copa MX.
