Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Friday visited senior party leader A.K. Antony, who has been hospitalised following a minor brain haemorrhage, and inquired about his health.
According to party leaders, Gandhi visited Antony at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where the former Defence Minister was admitted on Wednesday afternoon.
Doctors at the hospital have said that while they treating the 76-year old leader through conservative treatment, and were not sure of performing any minimally invasive surgery which they had initially planned.
"We have performed MRI and few other tests on Mr Antony. He is under observation of the medical team," said a senior doctor in the hospital.
Antony is also a three-time Kerala Chief Minister.
