The central government on Tuesday said that the Indian Railways will organise an international security seminar in New Delhi from Wednesday.
The security directorate of the Indian Railways in collaboration with International Union of Railways (UIC) will organise the 11th edition of the 'UIC Global Security Congress' here.
"The conference is scheduled to be held on December 9 and 10 and will be attended by security chiefs of the railway systems of various countries apart from representatives of UIC and security agencies of India," the railway ministry said in a statement.
In addition, Director-General of the UIC Jean-Pierre Loubinoux and senior delegates from member countries would attend the function.
The statement added that Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will be the chief guest at the inaugural session of the conference.
