Rain in Delhi on Tuesday brought welcome respite for residents of the capital from sultry conditions as the mercury dropped by a degree and the Met officials forecast more rains till July 31.
The maximum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday was 32.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The minimum was 26.6 degrees, a notch below the season's average.
The weatherman said 1.1 mm rain was recorded between 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The humidity oscillated between 94 and 65 per cent.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said rains were forecast in the national capital till July 31.
According to IMD, rain is expected in Delhi on Wednesday too.
The maximum temperature on Monday was 33.4 degrees, a notch below the season's average while the minimum was 26.5 degrees, also a notch below the season's average.
