The Rajasthan government on Tuesday approved setting up of seven investment projects worth nearly Rs.4,000 crore.
This was decided at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje here.
"Seven investment projects worth Rs.3,981 crore were approved at the cabinet meeting held here. The projects are expected to create direct and indirect employment for about 17,000 people," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore told media persons.
He said that out of these projects, two with investment of Rs.2,150 crores would be established at Karoli Industrial Area in Bhiwadi for manufacturing of mobile phones, LED TV and allied products.
These projects would be set up by Intex Group promoted firm Geo-Tech Enterprises Company Pvt Ltd and Micromax Group company Bhagwati Products Ltd.
Similarly, in Bhilwara, Jindal Saw Ltd would establish a project for mining of iron ore and manufacturing of pellets, sponge iron, steel etc by investing about Rs.1,150 crore.

Besides this Daikin Group company Daikin Air-Conditioning India Pvt Ltd would also invest Rs. 500 crore in the Japanese Zone in Neemrana in Alwar district.
Projects of Nitin Spinners Ltd. and Perto S.A. India Private Ltd. were also approved in the meeting.
