Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who is on a visit to Russia on Friday met St Petersburg Governor G. Poltavchenko and discussed investment opportunities as well as benefitting from its expertise in water treatment, state government officials said here.
"During the meeting, the chief minister sought St. Petersburg's expertise in water treatment and recycling technologies and also invited investments from the defence equipment manufacturing industry of Russia under the Government of India's 'Make in India' programme," the officials said.
During the meeting, the governor offered cooperation in energy security, machinery manufacture and engineering industry among others.
Raje also invited the governor along with a business delegation to participate in Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet to be held here in November this year.
The three days Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM)-2016 to be held here from November 9 would help in promotion of agri-business.
Raje is on a 12 days tour of Russia and Dubai.

In her two day stay in St Petersburg, Russia's second city, her delegation will meet officials and experts to hold discussion on tourism and other fields.
