Rajasthan's fall from the sixth place to the ninth in the "Ease Of Doing Business" index is due to faulty policies of the state's Vasundhara Raje government, the Congress said on Wednesday.
The state, since last three years, has been lagging in the Business Reform Action Plan, while the rising incidents of crime and poor law enforcement have pushed the investors to other states, said state Congress chief Sachin Pilot.
Though the government spent crores of rupees under Resurgent Rajasthan, red-tape has forced investors to go out of the state, he said, adding that there is presently, no facility to go for mutation along with land registration and the case for single window access also hangs in balance.
The decline in its ranking in 'Ease Of Doing Business' is a proof of failure of BJP government's policies in the state, alleged Pilot.
Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Jaipur where he patted his own back and praised the efforts of state government, but the statistics prove that it has failed miserably on social and economic fronts, he added.
Till the people of the state feel safe and secure and corruption is checked, trade and investment will never grow in the state, Pilot said.
