Journalist-turned-filmmaker Raju Murugan, who made a splash with his Tamil directorial debut "Cuckoo" last year, is currently filming his second film in the language with a slew of newcomers.
"The regular shooting started four days ago near Dharampuri. The lead cast features mostly newcomers. Along the lines of his debut film, this one too will be very unconventional from the usual crop of films," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Over the last few months, the first-time actors underwent an acting workshop.
"Even for 'Cuckoo', Raju made his lead actors undergo a special workshop," the source said.
The film is being produced by Potential Studios, who recently bankrolled Tamil horror hit "Maya".
