BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday said the proposed Ram temple in Ayodhya will be built on the "decided land only".
Addressing a seminar on "Ram Janma Bhoomi Temple: Emerging Scenario" in Delhi University, the BJP leader said the temple will be constructed on the disputed land and separate land will be allotted for construction of the mosque.
"We will build a mosque on the land across the Saryu river but the Ram temple will be built on the decided land only," he said.
The event, organised by the Arundhati Vashishtha Anusandhan Peeth, a research organisation founded by late VHP leader Ashok Singhal, also witnessed a protest by over 100 people from various student groups.
Student organisations like All India Students Association (AISA), Students Federation of India (SFI), Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), National Students Union of India (NSUI), All India Students Federation (AISF), Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) and members of Pinjra Todd group protested against the seminar.
"Such an event is an effort to tone up the sentiments and polarise the opinions of the students," said one of the protesters from Kirorimal College.
