Madrid, April 5 (IANS/EFE) Real Madrid said Friday that Jese Rodriguez will travel to Germany for further tests after suffering inflammation in his surgically repaired knee.
Ulrich Boenisch will conduct the review at the Hessingpark-Clinic in Augsburg, where the 21-year-old Spanish forward underwent surgery March 20 after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus in his right knee two days earlier.
The Spanish club's statement noted that "inflammation was detected in the operated knee, as well as a fever".
Jese sustained the season-ending injury in the opening minutes of Real Madrid's round of 16 Champions League match against German club Schalke 04 when he was pushed from behind by Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac.
