The Spanish football federation's (RFEF) appeals committee announced on Friday it has accepted Real Madrid's appeal against the second yellow card that was shown to its B-team player Vinicius Junior against Celta's B team in the third tier of the Spanish national league.

Now the 18-year-old Brazilian forward will be available either for the Clasico clash pitting Real Madrid against Barcelona or for the next Real Madrid Castilla (B-team) league match against Fuenlabrada, reports Efe.

Vinicius Jr scored a remarkable goal on a free kick and led Castilla to tie 1-1 with Celta B during the most recent Segunda B encounter; he was later sent off the pitch in the 86th minute, as he was booked twice.

The referee gave Vinicius Jr his second yellow card because he considered the Brazilian was flopping, or faking a fall.

The second card was supposed to result in a one-game suspension for the young Brazilian; however, Real Madrid provided the RFEF with two videos of the game and the foul which showed that the forward had indeed been fouled by a rival Celta player as he fell to the pitch.

The RFEF's appeals committee said in its statement that it understood the referee's decision based on his position and the speed of the play, although it added that it accepted Real Madrid's request to revoke the second yellow card and avoid the game suspension for Vinicius Jr.
