Madrid, June 12 (EFE) Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has given the green light to start the process of transferring Chelsea's Brazilian midfielder Ramires, news reports said Thursday.
Perez, according to Spanish sports daily Marca, was having a cold feet at the beginning about signing Ramires due to Chelsea's Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, "significant stumbling block", reports EFE.
Ramires joined Chelsea back in 2010, when Real's Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti was managing the club. Mourinho is not ready to let the 27-year-old player go as in the (2013-14) season he played 46 matches and scored four goals.
"Ancelotti is a fan of Ramires' physical fitness. The Real boss wants to maintain a balanced team for next season, and for that he needs players who can last the entire season," the daily added.
