Spanish La Liga football side Real Sociedad has confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli on Tuesday.
Although Rulli has spent the past two seasons on loan at the San Sebastian based club, his ownership was a complicated affair involving Manchester City and Uruguayan outfit SD Maldonado, reports Xinhua.
Now the Real Sociedad have assured the future of the 24-year-old who has made 58 league appearances for them over the past two years.
The deal will see Rulli remain on loan in San Sebastian until the end of December after which he will become Real Sociedad's property with a permanent contract until 2022.
Real Sociedad face a difficult start to the new season when they start the La Liga campaign at home against Real Madrid on August 21.
