Two people, including a property dealer, were arrested here for murdering their two friends in a crime that started with an abduction for ransom, police said Tuesday.
Ajay, a resident of Daultabad village, and Sanjeev, who hails from a village near Alwar in Rajasthan, were arrested from sector 5 Monday night, police said.
Ajay and Sanjeev, in their early 20s, murdered their friend Amit, 21, March 3 in Rajendra Park, police said. They later killed another friend Masu whose help they had taken in the crime.
"Ajay and Sanjeev wanted ransom from Amit's family but since the victim's residence's phone numbers were not available, they (trio) could not make ransom call and killed him," Anand Kumar, chief of Palam Vihar crime cell told IANS.
Amit's body was found in New Palam Vihar March 5.
Nearly two weeks after the body was found, police questioned Masu regarding the murder and asked him to join the investigation.

"Fear of being exposed by Masu, Ajay and Sanjeev along with Ajay's younger brother Rinku and a relative planned to kill him," Anand Kumar said.
Masu was taken to Rajasthan on the pretext of visiting a shrine and was strangled to death March 23 in a moving car, police said.
Masu's body was dumped in a well near Mundanwas village of Alwar district.
The accused were Tuesday presented before a Gurgaon court which sent them to two days' police remand.
