Actress Reese Witherspoon will star in and produce upcoming supernatural thriller film "Cold".
Lionsgate Entertainment is already developing a movie version of "Luckiest Girl Alive" with Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea, through their Pacific Standard Films banner.
"Cold" is based on a pitch by screenwriter Bill Marsilii. The plot is being kept under wraps but has been described as a dark thriller with supernatural elements, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
Witherspoon and Papandea formed "Pacific Standard" in 2012 in order to remedy the absence of movies with female protagonists. They have since produced "Wild", "Gone Girl" and "Hot Pursuit".
