Industrialist Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio Infocomm's fourth generation (4G) telecom services introduction at a town hall event (#CelebratingJio) trended at the sixth position worldwide on Twitter on Sunday, a third-party data showed here.
It trended at the No.1 position in India and Vietnam, No.2 in Austria, No.4 in Latvia and No.7 in the US.
It also trended at the highest positions in 40 cities.
The event, with Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and music director A.R. Rahman, was viewed by 150,000 employees in 1,100 locations across India all together.
"Jio is not about technical brute force but to reimagine how to do things better. Jio is not about Reliance, it is about India and when it comes to India, I am an eternal optimist," Ambani said during his address.
The company has started offering 4G connections to its employees to test for possible glitches before they are offered to the general public.
Jio services are being offered to the employees from Monday, which was the 83rd birth anniversary of the group's late founder Dhirubhai Ambani. The company aims to rope in 100 million 4G subscribers in 2016-17.
