Reliance Power Monday reported marginal growth in net profit at Rs.269 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, over Rs.266 crore for the same quarter of the last fiscal.
The company's total income increased from Rs.1,264.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013, to Rs.1,399.55 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2014.
EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) increased by 15 percent to Rs.536 crore, while other expenses came down to around Rs.32 crore.
EBITDA margins, or operating margins, expanded to 39.4 percent.
The Rosa power plant in Uttar Pradesh generated 8.15 billion units, the company said.
It also said the three units of 660 MW power capacity have been commissioned at the Sasan Ultra Mega Power Plant, in Madhya Pradesh, taking the plant's capacity to 1,980 MW.

The other three units of the plant will be commissioned in the current year.
The 20 million tonnes per annum Sasan Coal mines is already operational, the power producer said.
Reliance Power stock closed Monday at Rs.85.90 a share, up 9.85 percent over its previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
