Automobile manufacturer Renault India Wednesday launched the all wheel drive (AWD) variant of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) Duster priced between Rs.11.89 lakh and Rs.12.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
"We are building a strong runway to expand our presence in India concentrating on both product expansion and enhancing the customer experience," Sumit Sawhney, managing director and chief executive, Renault India said.
"We are working towards launching a couple of new vehicles in the near-future, as well as expanding our dealer network."
According to the company, the new variant is powered by a fuel efficient 1.5 litre diesel engine with common rail direct injection system. The engine is mated to a six speed manual transmission and has a fuel efficiency of 19.72 km per lire.
The company said the AWD technology enables the SUV to intuitively access the road and constantly engage all wheels. The vehicle is fitted with the all wheel independent multilink suspension and electronic torque control (ETC) for equal distribution of high speed torque to each wheel.
The compact SUV has sold over 100,000 units in country since its launch two years ago.
