Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery appealed to his fellow Bayern Munich players to regain their fighting spirit after two games without a victory, a defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and a draw against Cologne in the Bundesliga.
The Frenchman told the daily Bild on Wednesday that Bayern players have to play as a team and turn the page on those two bad results, noting that his side is a great team and so they must return to fight together.
Ribery is confident that soon the Bavarians will return to achieving victories and was convinced that the working style of new coach Carlo Ancelotti will be pivotal to this.
He continued to praise Ancelotti who, according to Ribery, cares for his players, handles things intelligently and talks a lot with the team, plus giving minutes to all players.
Ribery, who admitted to having a miserable night after the defeat against Atletico and did not enter the call against Cologne for fatigue, said he agreed to sit on the bench despite always wanting to play.
The 33-year-old player explained that players like Arjen Robben or he always want to play, but one cannot play every minute when there is a match every three days.
