Singer Richa Sharma has unveiled a new single titled "Jogi de naal".
"The idea was to give pure music. These days, the kind of lyrics that are played... we are all aware of so, we were thinking let's come out with something which has purity in music," Sharma told IANS about the Sufi Qawwali song.
"We have worked hard on it and every person from this industry has appreciated it so, I am feeling extremely happy with the response," she added.
The song features Sharma with Prithvi Gandharv, Darshan Doshi, Sanjoy Das and Ishteyak Khan. The lyrics have been penned by famous sufi Kalam Baba Bulleh Shah.
Sharma, known for soulful numbers like "Mahi ve" and "Jag soona soona lage", says Sufi songs have always been her forte.
She said: "I have sung more than 200 songs. If I have sung 50 songs, 40 of them are Sufi songs. I realised it myself later. When I sing such songs, I feel vey connected so there was no risk that I took with this song."
