Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday met a group of school children from Jammu and Kashmir, saying their tour of Delhi will help them "understand the diversity and beauty of India".
Interacting with the children, Rijiju also asked them to share their experience with their friends and families once they return home.
"The study tour will improve their knowledge and general awareness about historical places, social values, culture and traditions," the minister said in a statement.
The students visited the Red Fort, Akshardham temple and Parliament House in Delhi.
The group, comprising students from various schools of Jammu and Kashmir, has 43 students from classes 7 to 10 and three teachers. The tour was organised by the Central Reserve Police Force.
