Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) Friday posted a marginal rise in net profit on the back of increased incomes for the first quarter of the current fiscal, at Rs.244 crore over the Rs.240 crore recorded in the same quarter of 2013-14.
The company's total income for the quarter increased to Rs.1,811 crore from Rs.1,206 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Its operating revenues also increased during the quarter to Rs.1,753 crore from the Rs.1,123 crore earned in the same quarter of 2013-14.
RInfra said that all its current transmission projects are to become revenue operational within the financial year 2015.
Among the highlights for the quarter was the commencement of operations of the Mumbai Metro in June, the world's first metro to carry over 10 million commuters within its first month of operations.
Regarding its Delhi distribution business, RInfra made a mention of the electricity tariff hike of 8.3 percent approved by regulator DERC.
RInfra stock closed Friday at Rs.766.50 a share, 20.30 points, or 2.58 percent, lower than its previous close on the BSE.
