River Plate struck four second-half goals to rout Lanus 5-1 and climb to third in the Superliga Argentina standings.
Leandro Maciel put Lanus ahead at their Ciudad de Lanus Stadium on Friday. Veteran forward Ignacio Scocco equalized just before the half-hour mark before Matias Ibanez gifted the visitors the lead early in the second half by turning the ball into his own net, reports Xinhua news agency.
Luciano Lollo, Nicolas de la Cruz and Exequiel Palacios then scored in quick succession as River romped home to their third win of the campaign.
The Buenos Aires giants have not lost in 13 matches across all competitions so far this season.
Meanwhile Lanus are 25th in the 26-team Superliga standings, having lost five of their opening seven games.
In Friday's only other fixture, Tigre held Independiente to a goalless draw at the latter's Libertadores Stadium.
