Heavy rains in the past week have washed away a major road in Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand that connected more than a dozen villages, an official said on Thursday.
Villages like Dongri, Almiyagaon, Alkathaal, Balteer and Thal and a few more have been cut off from the district headquarters.
Officials said efforts were on to repair the road. The 22-metre damaged stretch of the road would be re-laid once the weather improved, they said.
