Actress Rohini Molleti, known for working across all the four southern industries, needs to raise Rs. 40 lakh through crowd-funding to complete the post-production of her Tamil directorial debut "Appaavin Meesai".

In a Facebook post, she has invited people to contribute to her film via a campaign on Wishberry, a popular crowd-funding platform in India.

"We are crowd-funding to raise funds for post production. We have put in a lot of time, effort and money into the film, now we're at the last leg and we would love to have all of you join in on the journey," Rohini posted.

Inspired from a real-life incident, the film is about a young boy whose hard-earned money gets stolen, and how he's determined to recover it.

The film stars Cheran, Nithya Menen, Salim Kumar and Pasupathy.

Some of the best technicians have worked on the project, including editor Sreekar Prasad, sound designer Resul Pookutty and cinematographer Alphonse Roy.
