Abu Dhabi, July 21 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates' (UAE) deputy prime minister has praised the fundamental role of Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) in supporting the development being experienced in the country.
Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also country's interior minister and EIDA's deputy chairman, called on the EIDA family to focus on the development of services, which are the instrumental tools for all the institutional excellence plans.
EIDA is an independent federal authority, established by virtue of the federal decree giving it ultimate powers required for the execution of the Population Register and the ID card programme.
Sheikh Saif made the remarks, while receiving the EIDA delegation headed by Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, director general of the EIDA, in Al Ain, the second largest city of Abu Dhabi, where they had Ramadan iftar meal.
