AS Roma director Monchi on Wednesday has insisted that full-back Antonio Rudiger is not for sell but the capital football club may consider selling winger Mohamed Salah if an appropriate transfer money offer arrives.

While German international Rudiger has been linked with a move to Serie A rivals Inter Milan, English club Liverpool has reportedly tabled an offer of $35 million to buy Egypt star Salah.

"There have been no negotiations about Rudiger, and there is no chance he will leave. Zero," Monchi said in a statement posted on Roma website.

"It is true that there is interest in Salah from an English club, there is an offer, but we set the price and we decide if we sell at that price."

Monchi also mentioned he is setting an agenda in the transfer market and only wants the club to improve from last season.

Last season, Roma finished second in the Serie A, while going down to Lyon in the pre-quarterfinals of the Europa League.

"Roma is not a supermarket. Our aim is to get better than last season," he said.

"We need to keep together the best possible squad. There is no team in the world game that does not sell at least one player. As I said, the problem is not to sell, the problem is to buy badly: if one leaves, he will have to be replaced properly."
