Russia's seasonally-adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.1 percent in October, Economy Minister Aleksey Ulyukayev announced on Wednesday.

"By the end of 2015, the decline in GDP might be less than what the ministry had predicted," Xinhua quoted Ulyukayev as saying.

Ulyukayev described the current situation of the Russian industry as stagnation.

The European Union's sanctions have had a negative impact on the Russian GDP, he said.
